Book Your Confidential Intake
If your mediation with Olive Mediation has already been arranged, the next step is to complete a separate confidential intake with your allocated mediator.
The intake allows your mediator to understand the issues in dispute, answer any preliminary questions, assess suitability for mediation and identify any safety or process considerations before mediation takes place.

Please book with the mediator identified in the correspondence you have received from Olive Mediation.
Your intake is confidential and takes up to one hour.
The intake fee is $330 per party and payment is required prior to your appointment in accordance with the terms provided with your booking.
You will also receive a confidential intake form from Olive Mediation. We ask that you complete and return this before your intake so your mediator can make the best use of the appointment.

Mediation Without Lawyers
Did you know, you don't need to have a lawyer to participate in mediation?
Olive Mediation offers fixed-fee parenting and property mediation where one or both parties are participating without lawyers.
How Do I Get Started?
The first step is a confidential intake session with one of our mediators. The cost is $330 per party to the mediation.
Intake gives you an opportunity to speak privately with the mediator, understand the mediation process, discuss the issues you would like to resolve and ask any preliminary questions.
It also allows the mediator to assess whether mediation is suitable and consider how the process should be structured, including any safety concerns or power imbalances.
What Happens After I Book?
Once you have completed your intake, the other party will also need to complete a separate confidential intake. The intake fee is $330 per party.
If the other party has already agreed to participate in mediation with Olive Mediation, there is no additional invitation fee.
If the other party has not yet agreed to participate, we can formally invite them to mediation following your intake. An invitation fee of $330 applies.
If mediation is considered suitable following intake with both parties, we will work with you to arrange a mutually suitable mediation date and provide information about the next steps, preparation and fees.
Booking an intake does not guarantee that mediation will proceed. Suitability is assessed individually and on an ongoing basis.
Parenting Mediation
Both Kristal and Mel are Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners who can assist parents to discuss parenting arrangements and work towards practical agreements for your children. Where required and permitted under the Family Law Act 1975, a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner may also issue a section 60I certificate.
Property Mediation
We can also assist parties to discuss property and financial matters following separation.
Before property mediation takes place, appropriate financial information and disclosure may need to be exchanged so that both parties can participate meaningfully in the mediation process.
